This year I had intended to take a break from the mayhem which is the parade. But my neighbour Lorraine found this image in a book about the costume designs of couturier Paul Poiret (1879-1944) and offered to assist me in making it. In fact the long suffering flatmate and a number of neighbours, Josie, Comfort and Myrtle all pitched it at various stages. This project was a subject for Gerry North's photo-journal "The Night of Your Life". |
