"Dear Royal Subjects and Republicans,
Miranda Fair and her dedicated chorus troupe require donations of Easter eggs and/or other goodies to be dropped off at the Bookshop, Darlinghurst or King Street Chemist, Newtown (by close of business this Saturday) so that they can be distributed on Easter Sunday to HIV/AIDS wards in hospitals throughout Sydney.
Although people are living with HIV a lot longer these days, Easter is a significant time to remember that its complications, the drug side-effects and of course full-blown AIDS are still taking their toll and that Easter is a lonely time for many patients in these wards. The fact that there are fewer patients now does not lessen the impact on each individual.
Your donations of eggs and other nice little goodies goes a very long way towards livening up the time that the patients are spending in hospital this Easter."
